About school life in Australia. First, I’ve to clear up some misconceptions that many people have. No. 1 In Australia, we do have to wear uniform for all primary and high schools, private and state schools. No. 2 we do have textbooks and quite a lot of homework and projects and also common tests. Just like most other countries. Do not be misled by the American novels about how school life is carefree and wonderful and think that applies to all Western countries. As far as I know, Australia isn’t the same. However, there are still many good things about Australian schools. For the school I’m in, you can choose the subjects and courses you want to take and subjects like History and Geography aren’t compulsory. Also, school starts from nine in the morning (so that you don’t have to wake up so early in the morning and skip breakfast just to avoid being late) and ends at three in the afternoon. I’m sure you got the basic ideas how school life is. More updates coming. xoxo,
